Co-Sponsors Needed: Send a Note to Congress
Together, we can prevent an impending doctor shortage.
The Resident Physician Shortage Reduction Act of 2019 will gradually and responsibly increase Medicare support for an additional 15,000 Graduate Medical Education (GME) residency positions over five years.
This bipartisan legislation would be a critical step to addressing the physician shortage and ensuring that a lack of doctors will not keep patients from receiving the care they need. Companion versions of this bipartisan bill have been introduced in the House and the Senate, and broad-based support in both houses could help it gain traction.
Send a note to your representatives in Congress urging them to support this bipartisan bill to expand federal support for GME funding. It only takes a minute.
